Matt & Ben's Fishing Trip

Matt and Ben went fishing with 2 of our friends. They spent all Saturday(from 5am to 11:45pm) fishing on a boat on Pend Oreille River. Here are the photos that are worth a thousand words.

The Dinosaur Museum

Daniel loves dinosaurs. He knows the names of many of them. But his all time favorite is Brachiosaurus. So when our family decided to take a trip to Utah this summer, we decided to take Daniel to Thanksgiving Point to the Dinosaur Museum. He was so excited to be there and spent lots of time trying to find Brachiosaurus. Then finally he turned a corner and there was Brachiosaurus. It was huge and Daniel was so happy and excited. He wanted to take a picture of him and the leg bones of the brachiosaurusdinosaur. We went with Michele (Ben's sister) and her 2 youngest boys. We had a lot of fun.

Allie in the Wax Museum

Allie's 4th grade class puts on a wax museum every spring. The kids choose a person in history and reads a book about them. They have to write a report, write a speech as if they were the person and talk about their life, make a poster with pictures and a timeline of their life, and then to top it off they have a wax museum. Each child dresses up as their person, makes a homemade button and displays their poster. Then the other children in their school and parents are invited to walk through this Wax museum. The children stand still until someone pushes their button and then the person comes to life and they recite their speech.

Allie chose a girl named Sadako Sasaki. She enjoyed learning why this young girl was so famous. And what 1,000 papers cranes had to do with her life. Allie learned how to make paper cranes just like Sadako did and she didn't quite fold 1,000 of them, but she did make quite a bit and got pretty good at it. I tried to get a picture of Allie when she was standing still as a wax statue, but everytime I turned around, someone had pushed her button. She did a great job and I think this was one of her favorite projects. If you want to know more about Sadako, you will just have to look her up and find out.

Thanks to her Utah relatives, we were able to find a cute Japanese dress to wear.

Katelynn's First Date

With Katelynn turning 16, she can now date. She was asked out for a date tonight. She was pretty excited. I had to document this moment with pictures of course. Hope her date doesn't mind the photo shoot.

Are you dying to know who asked her out...well, her dad of course. He has to show her how dating is done. I don't know what he has planned. I am just going to have to wait until they get home. I am not worried a bit at this point. I am afraid it is going to be so different when her date isn't her dad.

Daniel's Post

This is all about DANIEL! He has been busy lately.

Daniel has stopped taking naps for quite a while, but if I go anywhere in the car, he falls asleep. We got home one day and I got him out of the car and set him down so I could go back out and empty the car. I came back in the house and didn't pay much attention. When I went to find him this is how he was sleeping

Today brought a great milestone for Daniel. He went to the doctors for his well check and immunizations for Kindergarten(even though he won't be going to school until next year). Daniel did wonderful and did not shed a tear, he just said it hurt. Here is what his legs look like.
